IMSIL is derived from alpha quartz, the most common and stable silica polymorph at room temperature. It is highly resistant to strong acids and bases and exhibits stable electrical insulation properties. When used as a functional filler, microcrystalline silica enhances the strength and mechanical properties of plastic compounds. Its grape-like clustered crystals offer a consistent surface area, allowing for easy dispersion in polymer formulations.
